Marc Ian Leiter practises business and corporate law and has a reputation for devising practical solutions to complex problems. His clients consist namely of privately-held mid-size businesses. Marc’s practice is transaction oriented, and he has solid experience in negotiating mergers and acquisitions and drafting all types of agreements, including software and other licenses. His practice also includes assisting start-ups and reorganizations.

Marc was President of the Mount Royal Federal Liberal Association for seventeen (17) years and was Campaign Chair for the Honourable Irwin Cotler (formerly Attorney-General and Minister of Justice of Canada) in three elections. Marc also served on the Judicial Committee of the Liberal Party of Canada (Quebec).

While attending the McGill University, Marc was Managing Editor of the McGill Law Journal. He received numerous honors and distinctions, including the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants Prize, the Alexander Morris Exhibition Prize for the highest standing in second year law and the I.M.E. Prize for Commercial Law for the highest standing in commercial law during the program.
